The Phoenix Players are a long-running amateur dramatics group based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. We’ve been quietly doing what we love since 1945, creating performances that bring people together – whether that’s on stage, backstage, or in the audience. We’re members of NODA, and you can see our show reports on their website.
Over the years, we’ve put on a wide variety of productions – from pantomimes and comedies to whodunits, musicals, and the occasional classic drama. Some of our shows come from well-known scripts, while others have been written by our own members, giving us the chance to share original stories with our community.
At our heart, we’re a group of people who enjoy making theatre happen. We welcome newcomers of all experience levels and backgrounds – whether you want to act, help behind the scenes, or just be part of something creative and fun.
We’re always learning, always improving, and always looking forward to the next curtain call.
We love to welcome new members to our team, both on the stage and also behind the scenes. The jobs of director, stage manager, lighting, sound, backstage, props, costumes and front of house are all as important to a show as the actors up on the stage.
You can see more pictures from our past shows and how much fun we have in our Gallery.
